Becky Barnes Campbell
PARTNER
Prior to establishing Campbell Ward, Becky was Director of Operations at Noble Strategies, a full-service public affairs firm that represented Fortune 500 companies, federal and state associations, universities, and other businesses.
Becky has also been the Special Events Coordinator at the Arkansas Foodbank, where she built events benefiting the Foodbank and managed the related fundraising goals.
She also served as Chief of Staff to Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe, working as her scheduler, community liaison, and media coordinator, while championing the first lady’s causes.
Becky grew up in Saline County but now lives in Park Hill with her husband Daniel, their little boy Jack and dog Bandit. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Becky loves to promote Arkansas, follow and discuss politics, and spend time with smart, funny people. She is very involved at Epoch Church, serves as a board member for the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance and sits on the Multi-Purpose Civic Center Facilities Board for Simmons Bank Arena. Becky enjoys volunteering with the Downtown Little Rock Partnership and many other worthy causes.
Brent miller
EDUCATION CONSULTANT
After completing a BSE in education from Williams Baptist College, Brent served as a classroom teacher and Gifted & Talented Coordinator. He then completed his MSE and Ed.S from Arkansas State University in building and then district level administration. Brent served as an assistant principal, then principal at the elementary and secondary levels in both rural and urban school districts in Arkansas. While being a principal will always be the one of the greatest joys of his life, Brent realized that his passion for education policy and advocacy for educators could not be ignored.
With this desire to be a change agent, Brent began working for the Arkansas Department of Education supporting teachers and building level leaders across the state. He became passionate about educator recruitment and retention while working with school districts, particularly schools in the Arkansas Delta. This led to extensive research that culminated in studies focused on the educator pipeline and the preparation of teachers in Arkansas. This research also anchored his studies at Harding University where he completed in Doctorate of Education in 2021.
Aside from his work as a school leader and advocate for educators, Brent has served in a variety of roles in the education field. Appointed by Governor Beebe to the Governor’s Advisory Council for Gifted Education, Brent was able to focus his efforts on policy for all students with a particular focus on students from exceptional populations. Currently, Brent serves as the state director for Odyssey of the Mind in Arkansas and has spent many years serving on both the State Board for Gifted Education and various building administration constituency organizations. He has also served on a multi-state panel for the Chief Council of State School Officers related to the educator pipeline.
Brent was raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas, but now resides in North Little Rock and loves calling Central Arkansas home. A self-described history nerd, he enjoys exploring the state and learning about local history in the communities he visits. An ordained deacon, Brent is a member of Epoch Church in Little Rock, where he is active in the children’s ministry. He has also invested in the local community as a volunteer for numerous Downtown Little Rock Partnership projects. He is also an
advocate for City Year Little Rock where he volunteers for a variety of endeavors related to education outreach with local core members.
And if you ever need someone to evaluate your barbeque cooking skills, Brent is a certified barbeque judge with the Memphis BBQ Network and has judged various contests in states across the South.
